Bouvier de Roulers

(rare breed)

  Also called  "Belgian Bouvier"

The breed is not extinct. Nowadays, there are still some specimens left. But since several years, they no longer show up in the competitions. Not a single club takes care of its breeding coordination.

The Bouvier de Roulers (in Dutch: "Roeselare" a city located at the center of the province of West-Flanders) differs from the Bouvier des Flandres in the principal following aspects:
     the size is slender and can reach 70 cm for the male;
     the colour must always be black;
     the hair is less long and prickly;
     the head, in proportion with the overall size is less massive.
